# Bush Hogging in Shreveport, LA

[Website](https://shreveportbushhogging.com/services/bush-hogging/)

We cut tall grass, weeds and light brush on Shreveport fields, trails and accessible vacant lots. We use a Kubota tractor with a rear-mounted Land Pride bush hog, a 60-inch cutting width and a light-brush capacity of about 1 inch. Thick saplings need mulching or clearing.

- Weeds and light brush with stems up to 1 inch in diameter.
- Planned cutting passes across fields, trails and fence lines.
- A manageable field finish while roots and surrounding trees remain.

## Our Bush Hogging Process and Equipment

We check the field for old fencing, hidden stumps and debris before cutting. We use our Kubota tractor and rear-mounted Land Pride bush hog, choose a suitable cutting height and make overlapping passes. We finish by checking the agreed edges, trails and access routes.

## Johnsongrass, Broomsedge and Field Weeds

Tall grasses, blackberry canes and field weeds can hide old wire, fallen limbs and uneven ground. We check the route before cutting, keep surrounding trees and leave roots and cuttings on-site. Wet ditches and dense woody growth need a separate plan. Regular cutting helps keep an opened field usable.

## Pricing

Prices: $300-$750. General project pricing; tree removal is per suitable individual tree. Acreage, vegetation, slope and equipment access affect your quote. Larger or difficult jobs can exceed these ranges. Stump work, hauling, permits and construction-pad preparation are quoted separately.

## Past Bush Hogging Project

Bush Hogging in Benton, LA

A customer in Benton wanted to walk their field and enjoy it with family, but tall grass, weeds and light brush had taken over. We brought in our Kubota tractor with a rear-mounted Land Pride bush hog and cut the overgrowth to a manageable height. We kept the surrounding trees and left the cuttings on-site, making the field easier to use and maintain. The owner was pleased with the difference our work made.

Cost: $525. Timeline: 3–4 hours.
